"BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!" I yelled at the alarm clock as I thwacked it with the ball of my hand. It flashed through at least sixty-seven different colours before I reached it, insulting both my ears and my sinus's with its pretentious flaring.
I clicked on the mock-torch lights my dad mounted on my wall in my single-digit years and grinned for a moment at the sight of my room: Posters - All Time Low, New Found Glory, Biffy Clyro, Blink-182, McFly, Back To The Future, Doctor Who - photographs - my cousins, the fox from my back garden, a greenscreen of me in a Veyron, a real photo of a sea lion jumping through the hoop in my hands - and the newest addition to my decor - the scribble that apparently read 'Benedict Cumberbatch', the six syllables that set fire to every fangirl who can prove that they deserve the title.
Two such fangirls, were the two I'd contacted on my way home from school yesterday.
Shannen.
Eliza.
Shaliza.
Technically, they're my TwitterParents. They'd known each other three weeks when I first joined their conversations, but were already closer than I've ever been to anyone. I remember one day when Eliza was really upset and didn't want to bore us with tweets. That night, Shannen tweeted 'IT'S BEEN 31 MINUTES AND I ALREADY MISS @cupcakelock'. That my friends, is true friendship, if not TwitterLove. It's always perplexed me why you have to go outside to make friends. What if the people best suited to you are in another country. England's not a million miles away, but I could hardly just go stroll down to Brighton and drop in on Shannen!
They and @GuntasKaurKohli were my first choices to inform of my day, but Guntas was offline.
Me: @DW_Shando_HH @cupcakelock Guys, today, it happened.
Shannen: @Joanneabiscuit @cupcakelock what, what happened?
Eliza: Yeah, what's going on?
I met him.
Who?
The Sherlock. I met the Sherlock. B to the E to the N
I thought I'd quote @BD_bendict to mark the occasion

I'll try but im not guaranteein anythin
Whatever happens that is sooooo cool.
The conversation kind of ran the track you'd expect it to, though you may not have expected as many sheep comments as were contained. It's a long story, but Shannen is a sheep.

I'll just refer to this as the French Mishap. That's how I decribed it to Benedict. He seemed to find it hilarious. I'm still not sure how Shannen took his reaction. I guess she was happy that he'd recognised her existence but really, if you're going to be remembered by such a bundle of excellence as Benny, you'd kind of hope it to be for something that didn't result in such ridicule as Fig. 1.
It was the Monday I showed it to him, the day Before.
